A minimal change in surface, texture, or geometry can redefine both function and meaning, shaping how an object is used and perceived. This approach is clearly embodied in a seemingly ordinary kitchen tool that becomes a study of precision and intent.

One piece features a flat surface that acts as a pounder for shaping and flattening, while the other introduces a textured surface that works as a tenderizer to break down fibers. Despite their shared form, each surface directs the same gesture toward a distinct outcome.
